CMC B Placement Testing

Students undergo Placement Testing to determine the appropriate starting level before beginning instruction.  

The process is: 

  • Present Section I to all students being considered for placement in CMC B and collect and grade it afterward. 
  • Students who score sixteen to twenty-five points move on to Section II, while those who score zero to fifteen points sit for either CMC A or the DISTAR Placement Test. 
  • Score Section II and use the Placement criteria on CMC B, Teacher’s Guide page 103 to determine the lesson placement.
