Auditory Signal

Auditory signal is used when students are focused on their books or worksheets. In the example,

  • Focus: What are the small numbers in this family?
  • Think time: The teacher pauses for about two seconds.
  • Cue: Get ready.
  • Interval: The teacher pauses for one second.
  • Signal: The teacher gives an audible signal. The signal is any kind of ‘ap’, a snap, a clap or a tap.
