Ruler Skills

Lesson sixty introduces work with pictures of rulers without numbers. The goal of this work is to make sure Students are firm in their understanding of ruler intervals.

Lesson 62

They touch the end of the shaded part and get the number for that part going. Then touch and count on for the marks on the unshaded part.

Lesson 68

Students work problems that do not have a number for the unshaded part of the ruler.

They first count for the unshaded part and write the number. Then get the number for the shaded part going and count on to figure out the length of the ruler.

Lesson 70

Students count backwards to figure out the missing number for the shaded part of the ruler.
