Auditory Signal

Use the ‘auditory signal’ when Students are focused on their own books or worksheets. For example:

Focus 

First word✔
Teacher checks
that every Student is touching the first word.

Think time 

Teacher pauses for about two seconds.

Cue

” What’s the first sound you’ll say?”

Interval

Teacher pauses for one second.

Signal

Teacher gives an audible signal. The signal is any kind of ‘ap’, a snap, a clap, or a tap.
