Evidence

The evidence track in Comprehension B1 begins in lesson 1 and continues throughout the program. It has two major formats.The first format (lesson 1) teaches students to identify which of two facts explains what happened.


Fact 1: It was noon.


Fact 2: It was midnight.

What happened:
People were eating lunch. (Explained by fact 1.)

The second format (lesson 46) asks students to identify if facts are relevant or irrelevant to what happened.

What happened: 
Linda rode the bus to work.


Fact 1: Linda did not have  a car. (relevant)


Fact 2: Linda was 20 years old. (irrelevant)
