Placement Test Guidelines Continued

  • Give students the placement test that corresponds to their school level.
  • If the student passes the school-level test, give the test for the next highest level of the Direct Instruction program. Continue testing up a level until students do not pass the test.
  • If the student does not pass the school-level placement test, give the student the next lowest level of the program. Continue testing down a level until the student passes the test.
  • Group students based on placement test results. The size of groups varies with the program being taught. Consult with your Principal or Instructional Coach.
