Successes Are not Celebrated
Principal, Tara, has designed an SIP with the school community through a community forum to discuss goals and an action plan. Teachers have been trained on using the behaviour management plan and are starting to collect data on behaviour and attendance. The plan is to use the data to support and encourage individual student learning targets.
Two months into the SIP launch and data collection, teachers have not received feedback from the leadership team. Teachers are starting to wonder about the importance of the project and often forget to collect the behaviour data in lessons as they have other pressing daily duties, and it does not seem to be of high importance anymore. The leadership team has not been consistent in providing feedback on any improvement in behaviour which results in the team members not valuing and supporting the school improvement goals.
