Principals direct the school team
The 8 Cycles of School Practiceis premised on the whole school being focused on shared expectations and practices around increasing learning for all students.
Principals direct the entire school team to:
- Hold high expectations for themselves and their students and continuously reinforce them.
- Support new teachers to embrace and live up to the school standards.
- Ensure experienced professionals support beginning teachers to develop into professionals.
- Share a collegial practice to solve learning and behaviour challenges and support each other.
- Respond to student behaviour using their positive high-expectations behaviour management plan.
- Reward and recognise student accomplishments and feel pride as a team.
- Involve parents in their children’s learning and in celebrating learning success.
