Importance of meeting structure

Thee are numerous factors that determine the success of the positive high-expectations behaviour plan and the BMT.

School leaders ensure success through the following:

  • setting a weekly meeting schedule and following it.
  • having a routine meeting process and agenda.
  • committing to be present at team meetings.
  • sending meeting reminders to team members.
  • preparing and organising behaviour data to be shared at team meetings.
  • reviewing delivery for the week, raising issues and discussing new implementation.
  • keeping the team on topic and honouring time limits.
  • modelling positive behaviour in everyday interactions.

The principal and coach share these duties and should come to an agreement about who will do each one.
