The School Leaders Celebrate Classroom and School Successes

The school team at East Wiltshire Elementary has internalised the shared behaviour expectations and understand that they have an important role to play to model that behaviour with students, families and school peers. Teachers have been collecting behaviour data in the data management system to track any changes with the implementation of the model. The first month of applying the behaviour management strategies reveals a significant improvement of attitudes and behaviour in lessons as well as around the school (halls, gym, cafeteria, etc.)

Principal Glenn wants to celebrate this success with the school community. Data is displayed on the Data Wall near the entrance of the school highlighting the areas of improvement as well as the next improvement goals. He also highlights the specific classrooms which have improved the most at the morning assemblies. He reiterates the values, character strengths and school vision with students.

When school leaders identify classroom and school successes this sustains and replicates improvement, as success is a powerful motivator for achieving more success.
