Impacts on Teaching
There are positive impacts on teaching when the processes are delivered with mastery/fidelity. The teacher can:
- deliver instruction across the classroom, so all students have their learning needs met
- develop individualised responses for student based on assessments and data to increase the likelihood of success
- select lessons for reinforcement, remediation and retesting, so students’ learning needs are targeted
- place students based on their learning needs, so they receive learning at their instructional level
- provide individualised attention, such as repeating exercises or reteaching particular skills, so students achieve mastery at their own pace
- assess the impact of plans to inform and improve future intervention strategies.
