What Happens when the Process of Creating an Individualised Plan using the Matrices is not Delivered with Mastery/Fidelity
A lack of mastery and fidelity in the process of creating an Individualised Plan using the Matrices can lead to several detrimental outcomes. An Individualised Plan is crucial for students with disabilities, tailoring academic, communication, and functional goals along with necessary support and adjustments to meet their specific learning needs. However, without mastery, there’s a risk of inadequately addressing these needs.
Each student’s disability is unique, requiring personalised adjustments, but without fidelity in the process, these adjustments may not be accurately identified or implemented. As students develop, their requirements may change, emphasising the need for ongoing assessment to ensure that adjustments align with their evolving needs.
Failure to deliver with mastery or fidelity can result in ineffective support, hindering student progress and overall academic and functional development.
