RMSE 2–3 Time Requirements

An instructional block is created to allow students to complete one lesson per day. Below are time requirements needed for each part of the lesson. A full instructional block of 90 minutes will allow the teacher to complete the following: 

  • One RMSE 2 or 3 lesson (40 minutes).
  • Independent work that accompanies the lesson (30 minutes).
  • Workcheck (10 minutes).
  • Spelling lesson (10 minutes). 

Project and Activity lessons take additional time. The chart below shows the approximate times for each part of the lesson.
