Teacher Needs Rules and Routines to Maximise Learning Time

Teacher Stacy is finding it increasingly difficult to use whiteboards and markers in math because students do not use them correctly and markers end up all over the classroom floor. She is spending a lot of lesson time repeating the same instructions and dealing with poor behaviour from students.

If Stacy spent time setting the expectations for using markers and whiteboards and created rules and routines around their use, she could use them more to further students learning without them becoming a distraction.
