Scenario: Does Not Contribute to Building a High Expectations School Culture
- Step 1: The Behaviour Management Team makes changes to the school’s Behaviour Plan but fails to adequately train the teaching teams on the changes.
- Step 2: The teacher and teaching assistant do not have the information they need to inform students of the updated expectations. They decide on their own how to interpret the changes and fail to make a consistent plan for their students.
- Step 3: Students notice the inconsistent responses to their behaviour. Sometimes an inappropriate behaviour is addressed, but sometimes the same behaviour is ignored.
- Step 4: Students are unsure of what is expected of them. As a result, they are more likely to behave inappropriately, creating issues for other students and teachers.
