Utilise a Continuum of Corrective Responses and Logical Consequences
In the school wide behaviour plan, inappropriate behaviours are identified and agreed upon. A continuum of corrective responses and logical consequences is also established and agreed upon. Teachers consistently use these responses and consequences to address inappropriate behaviours.
Teachers:
- provide suitable corrective responses from the Responses to Inappropriate Behaviour Chart
- check the Continuum of Consequences Chart

- deliver a consequence from Logical Consequences Chart, if the behaviour went beyond corrective responses
- record in the information system, if the behaviour required a logical consequence
- communicate with student’s parents about event in person, by email or telephone, if needed
- complete all steps within 24 hours of the incident.
