What Happens When Leading a PHE Implementation is Delivered With Fidelity
The strength of the school’s implementation is measured by the team’s fidelity to their practice and compliance with procedures. The principal is responsible for leading this implementation by modelling and supporting positive high-expectations through professional development, establishment of values, rules and routines, overseeing practices and using data to guide improvement.
As a result, positive high-expectations practices across the school improve. The school team, parents and students get on the same page with universally understood values, rules and routines. The school’s positive high-expectations practices area strengthened to get better student behaviour results.
Principals ensure all team members complete positive high-expectations professional learning to the levels they need to deliver with compliance and fidelity. They establish, model and lead training of values, rules and routines for students. They use data to make decisions and lead continuous improvement of the school’s positive high-expectations practices to continuously improve all students’ behaviour.
