Does Not Start the Year Strong to Entrench Values, Rules and Routines 

Time is not allocated at the start of the school year to focus on positive high-expectations and the school’s values, rules and routines. The school team, parents and students are unsure of what behaviour is expected.

The Problem Is Compounded

The principal: 

• does not develop or support the school’s vision, mission, practices, programming, routines and expectations 
• fails to ensure all team deliver activities in PHE Week Intensive Plan 
• does not lead the school team in special training 
• does not allocate times and locations for teaching team participation in activities 
• does not conduct twice daily classroom and school walk-arounds to ensure all teachers are delivering required activities with fidelity so is unable to provide feedback 
• fails to reinforce to all team members about positive high-expectations improvement.
