What Happens When Participating on the PHET is Delivered with Mastery
The Positive High-Expectations Team (PHET) meets weekly and is responsible for developing universal interventions and individual Behaviour Plans to support the continued improvement of behaviour at all school levels. Teachers and Teaching Assistants work collaboratively with principals, coaches, behaviour specialists and parents.
When teachers prepare ahead and participate actively on the PHET, the meetings run more efficiently, and the focus can remain on implementing improvement techniques.
It is expected that members of the team will be active participants before, during and after the meeting.
To be an active participate on the PHET, teachers must:
- attend at least 80 percent of meetings
- recommend agenda items to the coach based on the Weekly Behaviour Data Report
- respond to agenda items and discussion questions
- participate in developing interventions and their resources
- support the coach during staff meetings on topics discussed in PHET meeting
- participate in monitoring implementation of interventions using the Intervention Checklist.
