Scenario: The Impact of Observing Discrepancies

Scenario: The Impact of Observing Discrepancies

Step 1: Teacher Sarah is preparing for the upcoming PHET meeting. She will be communicating with the coach to inform her of any observations she has made since the last meeting that team should be made aware of.

Step 2: Sarah has spent time learning about the school’s behaviour plan. She has observed that several of her students are struggling to demonstrate two of the school values. She has tried managing this behaviour on her own without success and now feels it is an important topic to bring up at the PHET meeting.

Step 4: Sarah follows through and enacts the interventions established during the meeting. She keeps notes on her observations and is prepared to present her feedback at the next meeting.

Step 3: Sarah informs the coach about this topic, and it is added to the PHET agenda. Sarah collaborates with her colleagues to find solutions to this problem. An intervention is agreed upon and Sarah commits to implementing the intervention with fidelity and report her findings at the next meeting.
