Follow Through on Interventions
To be a valued and reliable member of the PHET, all participants must follow through on the responsibilities they were assigned during the meeting. Teachers are very likely going to be required to implement interventions with their students and keep records on how the interventions are going to report back to the team at a later meeting.
Teachers who successfully follow through on interventions decided upon by the PHET:
- review notes taken during the meeting to ensure full understanding of their responsibilities for implementation
- enact changes in their teaching or behaviour management plan based on the recommendations of the PHET team
- ask clarifying questions if uncertainty arises during the implementation stage
- continue to take notes on the progress made with interventions.
