Does Not Maintain Accurate Records or Prepare Data
It is important that input regarding anomalies that need to be addressed are supported with data or anecdotal evidence. When a teacher does not maintain accurate records of the challenges in their classroom, they will not be prepared to present during the PHET meeting. The coach will use this information to develop an agenda for the team and ensure that the most important anomalies are being discussed.
The teacher who does not maintain accurate records or prepare data for the PHET meeting:
- does not review formative assessments and/or does not keep anecdotal notes on how their students learn, behave, interact with others, and respond to new or challenging situations
- keeps disorganised notes that do not include dates, details, and are difficult to read or understand
- does not maintain confidentiality by storing notes in an unsecure location
- does not review notes with the coach prior to the PHET meeting.
