Participate in Collegial Conversations
To provide the needed support for student behaviour, school team members work closely together. Teachers reach out to school leaders for help with major behaviour incidents. Teachers work with the school leaders to develop Individual Behaviour Plans for students when needed, and they communicate with parents about student behaviour concerns.
The principal:

The instruction coach:
- encourages collaboration and collegiality across the teaching team and with leadership team
- acknowledges improvement and uses the knowledge and skills of other teachers.
The teaching team members:
- welcome observations and visits to their classroom
- take on feedback, coaching and training to their professional practice
- feel comfortable asking for assistance from experienced peers or leadership
- observe effective teaching techniques delivered by a peer who has mastered the technique or practice.
