Identifying the Four Key Zones

The four key zones address the major activities completed in the school.  Each zone has a cycle of practice for the school domain and a cycle of practice for the classroom domain. Paired cycles enable the school leadership and teaching team to collaborate and synchronise their effective teaching effort.

The four zones and their activities are as follows:

  • Professional Learning

Training, coaching and feedback to develop effective teaching techniques and practices.

  • Data-Driven Improvement

Collection, analysis and problem-solving around student academic and behaviour data.

  • Peer Collegiality

Conversations and collaboration focused on effective teaching and learning for all students.

  • Community Engagement

Mutual commitment and responsibility for student success and increased engagement of parents and community.
