8 Cycles of School Practice

The 8 Cycles of School Practice provides a guide for ongoing school improvement efforts. It is a set of evidence-based practices that is embedded across the school and in classrooms.

Practices refer to the daily actions and routines in which the school engages.

These practices support a mastery-based, data-driven instructional program that aligns with the Australian Council for Educational Research’s National School Improvement Tool.

The 8 Cycles of School Practice makes explicit the critical practices necessary for schools to focus on effective teaching, teacher development and student achievement.
