Two Domains of School Practice

There are two domains that define the 8 Cycles of School Practice.

The school domain is the leadership and culture space where the leadership and teaching team share responsibility for the teaching and learning of all students.

Leadership is demonstrated across the school community. Leaders collaborate with the teaching team to embed a culture of continuously improving teaching and learning, to maximise student educational outcomes. The instruction coach promotes a culture and practice of data-driven school improvement and makes decisions based on data review analysis.

The classroom domain is the teaching and learning space where the teacher and students do the most important business of the school. It is where the teacher delivers effective teaching and the students learn to mastery.

The cycle of teaching and learning occurs in every classroom lesson, every day. The defining feature of each lesson is the provision of effective teaching to every child.
