Professional Learning

The instruction coach works directly with the principal to develop a school-wide Professional Learning Plan. The instruction coach also works with each teacher and teaching assistant to develop their personal professional learning plans.  

Each teacher and teaching assistant has a personal professional learning plan that outlines the professional learning needed for their teaching assignment and stage (foundation, proficient, accomplished or lead).  

The instruction coach manages the school-wide professional learning plan and uses training to enhance the effectiveness of the teaching team. 

The instruction coach ensures the school leaders and the teaching team have regular access to suitable training when needed and specialist training to grow leadership capability. The Mastery Teaching Pathway streamlines this process and makes high quality training accessible to all.
