Structuring a Sustainable and Successful School

Culture

The coach heads most of the technical aspects of growing a positive high-expectations school culture and supporting its ongoing success.

Timetables and Calendars

Coaches work with the principal, teachers and teaching assistants to coordinate timetables so the team has regular opportunities to collaborate on effective behaviour management strategies, plan PBIS and SEL lessons, and participate in peer observations. Coaches also help the principal to plan professional development calendars and organise school-wide events that promote and celebrate the school’s positive high-expectations culture.

Access to Resources

PBIS, SSIS, PATHS, and the 7 Character Strengths all require specific materials for proper implementation. The coach manages resource distribution by monitoring teachers’ needs and ordering supplies.
