Hand-drop signal

Use the hand drop signal when students are looking at the teacher.

Focus – The teacher has hand up in the ‘stop’ position when talking.

Think time – Teacher pauses a couple of seconds after finishing direction.

Cue – Get ready.

Interval – Teacher pauses one second.

Signal – Teacher crisply drops hand. Students respond while hand is down.
