Corrections in action formats

If students respond late or not on the teacher’s signal, the teacher restates the expectation and has the students repeat the action.

If students do not respond by saying the action when the teacher asks, ‘What are you doing?’ the teacher corrects using model, lead, test, retest.

Model – My turn. What are you doing? Standing up?

Lead – Say it with me. What are you doing? Standing up?

Test – Your turn. What are you doing?

Retest – Let’s do that over again.
