New Teacher Overload
The instruction coach, Jay, has an influx of new teachers who need support in academic or behaviour techniques. As Jay is making his schedule, he does not have enough time to see all of them weekly. Jay observes each new teacher and prioritises which ones need the most help. All teachers who need help in several areas get weekly visits and the teachers who need little to no help get monthly visits. Many students whose teachers got monthly visits have been doing poorly on their assessments. The teachers are only getting feedback on one lesson a month and it takes another month to see if they are doing the practice correctly.
