Eric Refuses to Practice
A new teacher, Eric, does not understand how to implement hand signals when he is teaching and feels a bit silly using them because they are ineffective. When Eric is collaborating with his team members, he mentions his lack of knowledge in this area. A fellow teacher who has worked for more than 10 years offers to show him how she uses hand signals in her instruction upon approval from the instruction coach. Weeks pass and Eric has not observed the experienced teacher and does not even have a scheduled date.
