Teacher Meghan Feels Unsupported

Teacher, Meghan, is teaching Art to Year 1 students. She is having difficulty getting the students to calm down and doesn’t start the lesson right away. In fact, she gets about 20 minutes of teaching time completed and ends early due to disruptive behaviours. She is feeling discouraged and reaches out to the instruction coach for help. The instruction coach tells her to consistently do the same thing and eventually they will listen. Meghan keeps trying to start class on time, but it still is not successful. She feels unsupported and frustrated, and her confidence in teaching art has dissipated.
