Enables Engagement with the Community
When the principal creates opportunities to involve and the community in the school culture, allowing them to be involved in improving the school; they build a relationship between school and home.
This relationship demonstrates to students that their school is connected to their families and the greater community.

How it works
The principal invites parents and the community to assist with the development of school improvement priorities and actions. They lead the school team with strategies to engage parents in the school culture.
Through this engagement the school team build a strong commitment from school and home to students’ educational journeys, by providing guidance to parents on school readiness, student well-being and how they can assist with learning progress. This maximises the support parents provide to their children; students are more engaged in their lessons and see the importance of continuous learning.
