School Team Works Collaboratively to
Build Capacity
Instruction coach Dylan organises the weekly lesson practise session, pairing more experienced practitioners with less experienced teachers and teaching assistants. They are assigned to work together to practise delivery of upcoming lessons. Each teacher or teaching assistant has the opportunity to practise at least twice. They provide feedback to one another on their delivery, nothing what they are doing well and what requires further refinement. Dylan monitors the lesson practise and provides feedback and encouragement and answers any questions that arise related to the specific technique or practice. All members of the teaching team are active participants and welcome the opportunity to practice and work collaboratively. Throughout the term, Dylan notes that the teaching team have improved their ability to deliver effective teaching.
