Creates a School Wide High
Expectations Culture
Participation in coaching creates an environment where reflecting on one’s professional practice and committing to continuous improvement is not only normalised, but an expectation. When the teaching team participate in coaching it demonstrates their commitment to mastery of effective teaching and to maximising educational outcomes for students.

How it works
Coaching promotes an environment where peers and instructional leaders are invited into the classroom. Both students and teachers are comfortable with observations as the are aware that it is part of the school’s coaching practice and is aligned with their school improvement plan.
Coaching promotes lifelong learning. The teaching team are continually acquiring, developing and refining their knowledge, skills and practice. A willingness to participate in coaching provides an example for students to follow. The teaching team have high expectations for themselves and in turn for their students regarding their engagement and learning. The entire school community is committed to continuous improvement, which is facilitated and supported by coaching.
