Teaching Team do Not Improve their

Practice or Teach to Mastery

When the teaching team does not participate in coaching, they may not be aware of the areas of their teaching practice that need improvement to support students or if they are aware, they do not know what improvement actions to take. They continue with their practice unaware of how their classroom organisation and management contribute to anomalies and affect their students.

What Happens

The problem is compounded

The teaching team are not providing effective teaching. When the teaching team are not participating in coaching, they are not improving their ability to teach students to mastery as evidenced in the data and through observations. The teaching team cannot implement effective improvement actions and if they do, they do not know what impact any improvement actions they are taking are having. Not participating in coaching means that the teaching team are not learning and adopting best teaching practice to teach their students to mastery.
