Builds Collegiality and a Culture
of Collaboration
Instruction coach Kate has identified that teacher Joseph has mastered the use of signals in his reading lessons. Kate arranges for teacher Samuel to shadow her and observe Joseph’s delivery. Samuel watches Joseph, making note of how he is using signals in the lesson. Samuel notices that Joseph is very consistent in the timing of his signals and that the students are confident as they know when to respond. When Kate follows up with Samuel a week later, he informs her that he has been working with Joseph and practising his signalling technique.
