Informs Their Teaching Decisions
Student mastery is just as important as lesson completion. Ensuring students have mastered each step in the program sequence lays a solid foundation for future learning.
Using remediation and retesting effectively is one way to check for individual student mastery which informs teaching decisions.

How it works
The teacher reviews mastery test and checkout data pinpointing which students need remedies and retesting for specific parts of the assessment.Students are remediated and retested before the teacher moves on to teach new lessons to the group. The teacher analyses the results to inform their teaching decisions moving forward. The result may indicate that the teacher needs to emphasise counting on skills when they are in lessons, a certain letter sound or word in the story. The teacher uses this information as they practise and teach their upcoming lessons.
