Administering Program Assessments

When Required

Teacher Alex is teaching Oz-e-English: Writing (Language) to his students and is about to finish lesson five. He knows once all the tasks for lesson five are completed he gives the progressive assessment to his students. Alex scores the assessment and sees if there are gaps in his students’ understanding that he must address in future lessons.

Teacher Jenice is teaching Reading Mastery Language Arts to her Year 1 students. She is scheduled to teach lesson thirty to her students tomorrow and knows she must administer the mastery test to her students after teaching lesson thirty. She prepares for the mastery test by copying the pages she needs for each student from the Language Assessment Handbook. After she administers the assessment, she corrects it to determine if students have met mastery or if she needs to reteach and retest specific exercises.
