The Teacher does not Use Data to Make Informed Decisions About Student Learning

Teacher, Bindi, does not address specific group errors. She is continually surprised at student responses and never knows which students are approaching mastery and which are far behind. She finds herself having to continually stop the lesson to answer student questions or slow down to try and gauge whether students are making progress. But, without accurate information, Bindi is not sure that she is repeating the sections of the lesson that are most important for her class. She is concerned that she will not be able to keep pace.
