Principal Models Behaviour in Team Meeting

It is two weeks before winter break and everybody is excited for the holiday.
The Principal, Thomas, has observed an increase in student behaviours in the hallway between classes. Students are running and throwing balls, and the noise level is high.
During the weekly team meeting, he brings his observation to the attention of the team. The school prioritises safety over everything else and Thomas sees the hallway behaviour as a safety risk.
Thomas decides to role play with the team several scenarios that are correct and incorrect. He then selects a few to help him model the hallway rules that dictate the school’s high expectations of safety. Before the meeting is over, he asks teachers and teaching assistants to model the correct behaviour to their class and be in the hallway between classes to monitor student behaviour.
Next week during the team meeting they will reflect on practices that worked and those that didn’t and revise the plan to make it meet the high expectations of the school.
