Defining Standard Time

Standard time varies based on the program.

Direct instruction programs break down the lesson into components of instruction, independent work and work check and allocate the time the teacher spends on each.

Oz-e Learn Programs
The Oz-e Learn Programs break down the lesson into the components – I do, We do and You do. The teaching guide provides the script, sequence of activities and, in some cases, allocates the time the teacher spends on each.

For example, in the Oz-e Writing programs each week, one writing lesson will be delivered as three separate exercises on three individual days.

While there are differences in the timing of activities and number of lessons per week in the programs, each lesson is designed to be able to be completed within standard time. It is important that each part of the lesson is completed to achieve the desired learning outcomes for students.
