Standard lesson progress rate cannot be met

Ben is teaching his Year 4 Language class. In the Reading Mastery Signature Edition Language Arts Grade 4 program there are 140 lessons, with five lessons allocated per week.

Over the course of the first five weeks of a ten-week term, Ben completes the following lessons:

• Week one – 3
• Week two – 4
• Week three – 3
• Week four – 2.5
• Week 5 – 3

In total, Ben has completed 15.5 of the twenty-five lessons scheduled.

If this pattern continues, Ben will fall further behind and not meet the standard lesson program rate for the program.
