The Teacher is Complacent
Andrew is not new to teaching but is new to the school. He has been teaching for several weeks now but isn’t sure how to implement some of the teaching techniques and practices outlined in the Teaching Guide. He does his best when teaching lessons, but feels the students are not mastering some of the concepts in the core subjects.
Since instructional leaders never observe or assess Andrew, he continues to teach the only way he knows how. His students never master the content and it affects student outcomes.
