Students Behave Appropriately
Embedding Routines and Behaviour Standards Improves Students’ Behaviour
When teachers establish and use routines and expectations effectively, students know how they are expected to behave. Effective use of routines and expectations minimises the occurrence of unwanted behaviours as the process for tasks, like transitioning between activities, is clear and structured.

How it Works
The teacher explains the positive learning behaviours required for success. Students know what behaviour the teacher will accept and boundaries are clearly set. When students are aware of the expectations, they are more likely to behave appropriately and focus on their learning.
