Example one:
Teacher, Matt, is teaching spelling to his students. They are working with the doubling rule. Matt has worked through the exercise and all his students are answering correctly. He announces that it is time for individual turns. He asks the first question for item five, gives think time and calls on Tahlani. Tahlani answers the question correctly. Matt responds, ‘Yes, we start with wash’.
Example two:
Teacher, Ariel, firms students on all sounds in a sound production exercise. Two sounds have been particularly difficult for students. She announces, ‘Time to shine,’ points to one of the sounds, gives think time and asks, ‘What sound? Tuan’. Tuan correctly says the sound. Ariel responds by saying, ‘Great saying rrrr Tuan. That was a tough one’.
