Teacher Is Unable to Teach the Full Lesson

When the teacher does not ensure that students have required materials, they are unable to teach the full lesson. Valuable learning time is lost. The teacher is not able to focus on teaching and students on learning as they must locate students’ materials. As a result, all activities in the lesson cannot be completed in standard time.

The Problem is Compounded

When the teacher cannot complete the full lesson, it affects students’ understanding. Students find it difficult to connect ideas and skills from one timetabled period to the next when lessons are too far apart. The teacher must therefore go back and reteach content or revise skills to firm understanding before progressing with the lesson. Students are unable to make standard progress or potentially catch up.
