Teacher Is Unable to Teach the Full Lesson
Teacher Melinda is teaching a maths lesson. Students take a long time to get ready for the lesson. Some cannot find their Connecting Maths Workbook, while others do not have pencils. Melinda locates the workbooks that have been stored in the wrong place and gives pencils to students who do not have them. Once all students have materials, Melinda teaches the lesson. They do not complete all activities in the lesson, and she must start the next timetabled period by finishing the previous lesson. Since it has been two days since their last timetabled period, some of Melinda’s students cannot remember what they did last lesson. They are not firm in their understanding. Melinda must reteach the content from the previous lesson to ensure that students are at mastery before she can progress.
