Corrections and repeat until firm

Correct errors in CMC using model, test.

Add steps when the errors occur in a bracketed sequence and/or the words ‘repeat until firm’ are written. If students make an error or do not respond well to the bracketed section, repeat the steps until all students are firm.

The process

The process is:

  • The teacher models the correct answer.
  • The teacher repeats the task the students missed.
  • The teacher completes the series of bracketed tasks.
  • The teacher returns to the beginning of the bracket and repeats the entire series of tasks.
